Description :
- This classic self colour 8.5cm wide black elastic is a fold-over elastic which is mostly used to finish the edges of stretchy garments such as pants, trousers, jeans, pyjamas, track pants, night wear, joggers, leggings and many such other fancy bottom wear clothing. Also sew on cute knitwear at home, hooded sweatshirts, scoop-neck t-shirts, yoga pants, dresses and much more.
- It has great strength with less stretching ability as it is wider in size (the more narrower in size the more it stretches) it has a crease down the centre of its length. The crease makes it easy to fold in half along the length, encasing the seam edge of your pattern piece. One side of the elastic is plush for comfort against the skin, and the other side is decorative.
- Fold-over elastic features an indentation down the middle, which helps evenly fold the elastic in half when sewn on as a binding on the garments. This broad woven foldover elastic is stronger than the other elastics and can be used on mid to heavy-weight fabrics.
- Woven elastic has the distinctive vertical and horizontal ribs and is often labeled as "no-roll" elastic because it does not roll when placed in a casing. Easily recognised by its thick vertical and horizontal strips, it is very thick to the touch. When stretched, it doesn’t narrow and can be sewn through without affecting the stretch of the elastic. It makes a great choice for casings as well in garments, home decor items, bags and outerwear.
